New Orleans, Louisiana – April 10, 2014 – More than 180 attendees participated in the Women’s Business Enterprise Council South’s 20th anniversary celebration held in New Orleans. This year the annual event’s Council Awards were tailored to complement the organization’s two-decades-in-service milestone.
Instead of one Corporate or WBE Advocate, Corporation of the Year, and WBE Suppliers of the Year awards, WEBC South elected to honor individual members that have provided exceptional support of women business, and a constant voice for WBEC South and women business development.
These individuals have had significant impact on WBEC South over the years. Among those honored for their service and dedication was Thomasson Company CEO Pat Thomasson, a member of WBEC South since 2008.
Earlier this year, Ms. Thomasson was named Mississippi’s 2014 Business Woman of the Year by the Mississippi Business Journal.
